Jack up the car and take pictures or take it to a performance shop if you can't do it yourself.
It will, the hotchkis bushing is smaller to fit in the diameter.

The only way a sway bar bracket will break, is if it was loose.

Basically, the dealer found the problem last time and on the report I got, it said

"RR aftermarket sway bar bracket broken"

HOWEVER they gave me the report and didn't have anyone explain to me that I had something wrong with my car. For the two weeks after that I heard a clanging sound coming from under the car and didn't know what it was.

I took it back yesterday and was hit with these fees because it was aftermarket.

Isn't it THEIR fault for not having someone talk to me about that? Last time I didn't get hit with any fees when they found this aftermarket part...after all RR could have meant removed and replaced.

To sum it up: they should have let me know in person what was wrong instead and shouldn't be hitting me with fees for being a customer who was taking his car back into the shop to decided the message from last time. It very well could have been a OEM part...

Also, they said they have a good chance of fixing the bent bracket and will only charge me $80 for labor to fix it.

The Hotchkis sway bars will not fit into the OEM brackets. Totally different diameters, plus the rubber bushings from Hotchkis are much larger to accomodate the thicker sways.

Ah in that case i do probably have the hotchkis brackets, but they were installed wrongly...

Would you guys just pay $80 to have it fixed and redone by the dealer? I'll try to lower price since they didn't tell me about it the first time. They also said they guarantee their work for a year, aftermarket or not.

I would order a Hotchkiss bracket and have the dealer install it if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.

All you need:
Floor Jack
Jack stands
1/2 Ratchet
14MM 6 point socket
Large Flat screw driver
(any kind of grease for the inside of the bushings) Crisco?
Elbow Grease

Replacing the brackets is a breeze. This is totally a DIY for any novice or anybody with 10 minutes of free time. Why pay to have it done when you can save the money for more parts plus "DIY and take the blame"?

So I shouldn't trust them when they say they can fix the current bracket?

Also what if they won't let my car leave without a $125 diagnostic fee...?

I would if I could right now, the car's at the shop and they won't give it back to me without me paying $80 for labor to fix the bracket...or $125 for the diagnosis fee...

I'll tell them to take a pic of the bracket and send it over.

LoL. $125 fee vs $80 fix to get your car back? That's a no brainer. Pay the $80 and have them "fix" for you and get your car back. If there are still problems afterward you can at least bargain with them and get refund since they couldn't properly fix the problem.
