I need my Rears replaced I bought HAWK HPs rear brake pads.. thinking about doing the fronts at the same time also although they are not as worn as i replaced those a few months ago..


How much is labor to just do the rears?

 

Price varies all over the place. $30-150. It is a fairly easy DIY though.

 

I paid $80 to have the rear brakes replaced on my xS sedan, I supplied the rotors and pads. It took him 30min.

 

$0. If you are able to remove your wheels, you can change your brake pads. Very easy to do yourself. Count on 45-60 minutes total of your time. If you need it, there is a ton of guidance on here and other sites on the inter web. No special tools are required.

No need to change your front pads if you did them a few months ago. You should have years of life in a set of street brake parts.

 

i just did my rear pads and rotors myself for the first time 2 days ago. as others have said, it's not a difficult job at all. the hardest part was getting the caliper bolts undone and one of the rotors was stuck and took some coaxing to come off.
if all you're doing is pads it's a simple job.

 

DIY and take the blame. Pocket the money and buy yourself the Diode Dynamics LED light conversion kit with the savings.
