Easy way to tell if a caliper is hanging?

Went to drive home today (after driving through the snow to get to work) and the first few presses on the brakes were really really touchy (like throw you forward in the seat)

Im wondering if one of the calipers was hanging. Eventually it seemed to free up, but the car felt like it was bogged down at times, so maybe now its hanging CLOSED?

Any suggestions on how to check it? Im going to take it to the dealer when I get a chance but figured Id ask here first.

Thanks.

-Chris

Use a non contact thermometer. If one is sticking it will be significantly hotter than the opposite side immediately after you park the car.

I actually tried that.

Its tough to get them in the exact spots of each side (since the spokes of the wheels dont line up perfectly from left to right), but the right side front and rear were reading higher than the left side.

Right rear was about 3-4 degrees higher than left rear. Right front was 10 degrees higher, but it might not have been a great test because the wheels were slipping on the way home (damn you snow!)

Ill try that test again tomorrow since it should just be wet out by then.....define "significantly hotter"? 5 degrees? 10? 20?
