Hey I have a 2010 g37x have had it for 2 months now with less then 25k, I got it as a rebuilt car so bare with me since I knew what I was getting into when buying it...


It had been leaking some fluid once I brought it home and I didn't think nothing of it. Well a week ago I hit a damn pot hole and once I turned the car off and then turned it on to go out I felt that the brakes had become spongy and I would need to push down nearly to the floor to stop. Now I wonder if the leak got worse or is there air in the lines or both... I've notice that there has been a spot on my garage floor on the passenger front side. Im hoping its a flexible line but im not sure...


Any suggestions, where the lines are for the passenger and for the rear wheels are located to take a look?? Any pics would help...


One other question is there any recalls for the 2010 g37x? And if there is would my car be covered under recalls since I know warranty was lost when it had the accident which was on the drivers side fyi....

 

Brakes are a safety issue. Don't drive the car until this is repaired.

If the leak is a line or a junction, should be easy to locate. Refill the reservoir, have an assistant pump and hold the pedal. Look for leaks. Removing the wheels is advisable.

If there's air in the line it has to come from somewhere. My guess would be a junction/connection point (where two lines come together) is probably damaged.

 

is there any junctions that are located on the front passenger side in particular... im not sure if I can see them if they are behind the wall and not at a particular wheel

 

Take the wheel off and you will be graced with a plethora of brake lines attached to the suspension and leading to your caliper. Multiple junctions will also be visible.

As mentioned, brakes are no joke. Don't drive until it's fixed.
