Question on Infiniti BBK

I have a 2010 G37xS Sedan and I recently purchased the Infiniti Akebono BBK. I plan on purchasing the Goodridge S/S Brake Lines. Do I purchase the AWD or the Sport lines.

thanks

Gabe

+ 1. if you have the Sport brakes, you'll need the Sport brake lines.

Yes, get the Sport lines.

I have an X which I upgraded to the BBK. Used sport lines. I also just bought another set which came with the lines, also sport lines and will pop right in.

Stoptech SS lines are one piece flexible line. I had difficulty routing them. I followed StopTech directions and had rubbing issues with the wheel. I ended up not following their directions and relocated the bracket locations. I believe the Goodridge lines are like the OEM setup with mounting blocks.

Will the sport brakes clear the 18" rims that come on the xS sedan with out spacers? They clear the 18" on the S sedan and they are pretty much the same other than being staggered right?

If the 18" wheel is the same size including wheel offset as the front of the staggered setup then you will be fine. The front brakes on Akebono setup are bigger than the rear. I have the 19" coupe wheels so I can't truly confirm this. If in doubt go www.conceptzperformance.com and download a template to check for clearance.

JayDeePee, I am glad you brought the issue of "rubbing" up to me. There were a few times when I had my wheel turned all the way to one side and heard a metal to metal springy noise. Now I know where the noise is front. I hear less of it now that I swapped my 20's for 19's. Thank you.

I got the Z1 OEM Style lines to avoid the rubbing issues. Only caveat is that you must have the oem hardlines to use them.
