Coilover spring rate help before I purchase
I'm getting a great deal from jomer at cperformance on some bc coils with swift upgrade for my 08 g35x. I just need some opinions of the coilover gurus. They come with 12k 10k springs. Would there be a noticeable difference if I get the 10k 8k. I live in jersey which is pothole city and it is a daily driver. Bc recommends 12 10. Swift said either 12 10 or 10 8. What are the pros and cons of these spring rates?
If it's a daily go with 10/8 little bit softer ride but more importantly you'll get better grip on rougher roads where you live. 12/10 might be better on a track but city and canyon driving you want more suspension movement to help you stay in contact with the road. If you feel like it's too soft (doubt you will) you can always update the swaybars a bit to give you a little more response. Hope that helps.

Bc mentioned something about bottoming out. I rarely have all 3 of my kids in the back seat at the same time. Do you think that would be a problem skyline6mt?
I would go with the 12/10
I made the mistake on going softer with my old cars coil overs and ended up having to get stiffer springs because I would rub everywhere.
The g is pretty damn heavy so 12/10 does not seem that stiff really especially when you can damp them softer
you can always get two sets of springs to try out for your self if you have money to spend.
