Exclamation Help with coilovers

I really have been going crazy with these bc racing coils. They are br type. Me and my cuzin put them on but he adjusted everything for me and I was watching and I understood a little bit but not all. I don't want to bother him and I want to learn how to do it and fully understand it. I am trying to go down and I can't figure it out. I know the back strut and spring are not together and you have to do it separately and make sure you do the both the same. Now From what I understand if I want to go down you loosen the strut perch and raise the perch for example 1 inch and then go clock wise with the strut unit I'll the perch hits the stoping point. And with the spring you loosen the top perch and go up 1 inch counter clockwise to match the strut and the raise the bigger perch on the spring until it clamps with the smaller perch. It seems that it makes the car go higher. So I don't understand how it works. Am I going the wrong way!! If some one has bc racing coils and knows how to do it please just help me with this because it is driving me crazy!! And if you can also lmk how to do the front that will be great. Thank you so much for your help

Any time you raise or lower your rear setup you need to preload the spring then adjust the shock.
So raise back end on jack stands so springs aren't compressed, remove the shock, raise or lower your spring height collar for desired height, then compress spring about 1/4" w/ floor jack at the lower control arm, this is the preload. Once you have the preload set you then adjust your shock so it's fully extended w/ the preload intact. That's it for the back. The front is harder to get off the vehicle but easier to adjust since the preload is already set on the single shock/spring assembly. You just loosen the locking collars, screw the adjusting sleeve up or down to desired height, then relock the collars and re-install unit.
Here's some various topics that may help, it's from Megans website but same procedure since they're from the same source

just be sure to follow safe vehicle lifting procedures and if you have any questions about that let us know.

So you need to remove the shock to adjust your height? Are you sure I don't think you need to remove the whole shock to adjust the height ride in the back nor the front.

Sorry, just the bottom so you can twist the lower sleeve

Shouldn't have to remove anything. Just got to loosen lock rings obviously.. That thread should help a lot. Don't worry. I was in the same exact position as you. Still don't know much but got rear adjustments down haha.
