2013 G Sedan 8300 miles ABS

So on Saturday I start my car, and while I was driving I noticed my ABS and Traction/Slip indication light was on. I only have 8300miles on it. Has anyone heard of this or experienced it? I called Infiniti assistance to notify of the problem but the guy didn't know much to say.

Same thing happened to me also. The traction control light came on as well as the "brake" light for the parking brake. It was low brake fluid, the dealership refilled it and didn't charge me anything. On a side note it also disabled my cruise control.

Whenever you see low brake fluid always check your brake pads. The majority of the times the pads are so worn out, the caliper piston has to travel more thus causing the fluid levels to go down triggering the lights. You might also have a leak on the calipers. This is easily checked by seeing around the ground where the wheel is.

Brake fluid is full, pads have lots of life on them still. Maybe a leak

I had this happen to me on my 2007 V36 sedan and all it ended up being was the ABS front left sensor had oxidation on it. I checked my brake fluid and my brake pads at that time and all was well. I removed the front wheels and then Took the ABS sensors off and cleaned them up, also took a wire brush to the mounting screw.Reinstalled and Never had the problem after that on that sedan.

Now on my second sedan(2008) the problem just started last week. If I am turning a bit and start accelorating to just over 3000rpm, first the Brake light comes on and if at that point I dont take my foot off the gas pedal the VCD and SLIP come on and stay on for the rest of the trip. ( Just as the problem I had on my 2007 Sedan)

Just something to consider. I have not yet had the time to troubleshoot this problem on my current V36 but I am certainly going to do it in this order.

Check Brake fluid level- check the brake pads- and lastly the trick of the ABS sensors. I have a full Service manual on the V36 sedans and that is how I knew about the corrosion/dirt build up on the ABS sensors and their screws.

Good Luck.
