My breaks squeak when I first apply them when breaking. Happens on dry breaks at any time during driving just for a few seconds then stops.
Not sure I noticed this before I had my first oil change/tire rotation after purchase last fall (2009 model, 24K miles). I don't see any visual rutting in the rotors.
Called dealer the day after rotation and their inspection showed breaks were not close to needing replacement. It's been a few months since and no change.
The squeak is actually vibration that usually shows up with very light pedal pressure. You could pop out the pads, clean the calipers really well, and then put some anti-seize on the back of the pads and reinstall. That should take care of it.

Did this and still squeaks after a couple thousand miles. Now I am waiting for the pads to wear low enough to just swap them out.
Although I am curious is it because there are two shims on the front pads, I wonder if I just remove one of the shims if the squeal will go away.
Bumping this because I just started to notice a light squeal with light pressure on one side of my vehicle. Not sure if pads need replacement, may be due. Are pad replacements easy?
