I have been searching through the DIY threads and can't find one for replacement of the rotors (front & rear) can anyone post a link? does one exist?

 

Boy oh boy, are you sure you want to try this yourself? Rotos/Brakes help stop the car and is way more serious than an intake bro and if done incorrectly can cause great bodily harm!!!

I don't think brake jobs are a big deal and have done a few of them. Just make sure you bed the pads in correctly and make everything nice and snug. Better yet, if you can find the torque specs and have a torque wrench, that'll ensure that you get everything bolted up correctly. It is very DIYable and you shouldn't be afraid. Just make sure you have everything you need before you get started and take your time. It shouldn't be more than an afternoon's worth of work. Replacing the brake fluid and bleeding the lines are also a good idea if you haven't done them yet.

With mention of the intake...I feel like I'm missing something here...

 

Did mine last year and it literally took about 30 minutes a corner.

Thanks! I have done brakes (pads, rotors and calipers) before......just wanted a step by step for the G due to un foreseen differences in set up and so I can get all the tools ready before I do it. Thanks for the link!

 

Oh and I stand by my claim of the Tekeda CAI using cheap rubber junctions/elbows!

 

LOL...we believe you. Those couplers and elbows are kinda flimsy. I know that whole install was a fiasco for you! Let us know how your rotor install goes.

 

Just make sure you follow the torque specs on the caliper bolts. I think they are around 90 foot lbs. for the sport version. Everything else is pretty easy and straight forward. Always do one side at a time and make sure you bleed the whole brake system along with the change. Good luck and have fun.
