Yes. Go for coilover if you want the ability to fine tune your suspension.

Yep^^ If you want a different drop you'll have to go coilovers, not too many options in coilovers for the X (I think only 3 or 4 sources) and they'll start about $850 up to $1600. If you go lower than swift springs you'll need full camber kit and rear toe kit for another $500 +/-. If you're good w/ wrenches I'd do the install yourself, it'll save at least $400 for the complete install (arms, toe, and springs or coilovers). Keep in mind you'll also have to get an alignment for another $100 give or take.

lol you are going to scare him with those numbers lol but you are 100% right, i got my swift spring for xmas and i got the 180 lifetime alignment from firestone so i am all set, going to the dealer today if they tell me i am good with my right rear toe out slightly i am going to just leave it and look for other mods.

I haven't gotten the alignment yet I was suppose to get a new set of wheel right after spring installation but wheels were out of stock, so I have to wait. Wheels will be installed this month. I might need camber kits with bigger wheels.

The drop is pretty mild, a competent alignment shop should be able to get it in spec. w/ the factory arms and toe bolts. I'd check a few shops or maybe post where you're located and someone can give you a good shop to use. Just be sure to wait about a week for the springs to fully set before getting it aligned.
And before you get it aligned just drive it easy as it may drive a bit unpredictable.

How is everyone's stock struts holding up with the Swift's?

I have an 09 G37XS with 40k and am thinking of installing these with a SPC rear camber kit.

Thanks.

Eventually the stock shock is going to give up.

Thanks, yes I realize that is the case. They wear out even with stock springs eventually. My question is more about seeing if the Swift's have a spring rate that is matched to the stock struts. Typically aftermarket springs used with stock struts will result in an underdamped suspension.

Sounds like no one really knows. Guess this is more an aesthetics oriented forum rather than technical. No worries.

Finding out the difference between the stock spring rates and the swift rates should help. Also, Swift should be able to help with that information as well.

Thanks, yes that is what I am currently looking to find out. It seems no one knows what the OEM spring rate is for the V36. I can find V35 spring rates.

And I already have Swift's spring rate. May just have to roll the dice and try them out. Worst case is I have to get coil-overs or replace the struts with something better.
