Hello all,

I have noticed something a little odd on my 2010 G37 and I wanted to see if anyone has had this "problem." Lately, my steering wheel lock has been slow/ sluggish in engaging and disengaging. I've had my car for about 2.5 years and I have gotten fairly accustomed to all the sounds that accompany its operation. The steering wheel lock usually snaps into place with a very satisfying sound that (to me) indicates how awesome my car is. But lately, whenever the steering lock has engaged or disengaged it has sounded painfully slow, almost to the point that I've been worried it wont disengage completely when I push the start button.

I thought that it might be the battery, but I'm not having any other issues that might indicate a bad battery.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? What did you do about it? Any ideas of what the problem could be?
