Looks like an alignment issue?

Haven't even had the car for 10,000 miles and the inner side of the tires looks like this:

Do you guys think these need to be replaced immediately, or is it alright to drive the car while my replacements come in the mail. (Note: The right side seems to be pretty cut up).
Also, are these tires worth anything with one meaty side left? Do you think I could get a few bucks for them or should I just let the shop doing the alignment toss em?

You'll be fine in the interim, but try to avoid bad weather (rain, snow, etc) because you won't have any traction except on dry ground. Also, considering rotating the tires, since only the inner tread is wearing.

What do you mean by rotate? Invert the tire so the worn out side is on the outside? I have a staggered setup.

Also I plan to get the alignment done as soon as the new tires arrive. Thanks guys!

if you want to save a few bucks you could flip the tires so the meaty side is now on the inside. and get another couple thousand miles out of them

I asked a shop, they said the tires were getting close to a bursting point and don't recommend it

If you think these tires are so worn that they need replacement and were told that they are worn to the point of being dangerous, why are you asking if you can get anything for them selling them??? Would you buy these to put on your car? What would you think of someone trying to sell them to you?

I'm sure someone somewhere would have use for damaged tires. People buy broken iPhones all the time don't they? Even at the point of no repair. Broken glass bottles, etc......I'd be willing to give them up for 5 bucks which is better than nothing.

You'd be better off tossing them. They'll just rot wherever you decide to put them.

I suppose you have a valid point. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Just ask Kim Kardashian.

Is this a coupe or sedan? Bought new?

If the latter, you might be able to get the dealer to do an alignment if it's been less than 1yr/12K miles (iirc that's something that's included in the first year/adjustments).

Also, if there's no savings in labor (bundled deal?), I'd do the alignment BEFORE getting new tires installed. The alignment reading heads attach to the wheel, not the tire. Granted, the car might drive funny with unevenly worn tires and proper alignment.

As for rotating, the OEM tires can be rotated side to side, but not front/rear (on a staggered setup).

I got ~5600 miles (of which the summer tires have been on for 5100 miles) on the car now, and from what I can tell tires are wearing relatively evenly. There is some feathering on the fronts at the outsides, but that's due to highspeed cornering than misalignment.

I understand what you are saying about the tires but how could you live with yourself selling somebody something that is unsafe? Yes one mans trash is anothers treasure but sometimes you have to watch out for your fellow man. A broken Iphone is not going to send somebody sliding off a road. Comparing apples to oranges doesn't make it right.

I wouldn't even give them away I would make sure they go to be recycled.

Someone with similar camber could flip it and use it as a spare. Others than that I don't know. Check if your town got a rubber recycling program.
