Brake rust

Hey guys. So I've got rust on all 4 brake rotor hubs (not where the pad meets the rotor). 1) Has anyone else had this happen? 2) Any good techniques you guys use to remove the rust and prevent it from happening again. I've had many cars of the years and this is first with this issue.

Thanks

- Steven

Brake Rust

If the rotors are OEM or even after market, sometimes they are not coated on the hat part with either a paint, EDP coating or plated. If they are bare steel, then you can wire brush them using a round wire wheel which you can get at Lowe's or Home Depot and remove all the rust. You can then paint them using any good high quality enamel paint or if you don't mind them being flat black in color, then wood stove high heat paint. Pain in the *** but in the long run it will look better. Good luck.
