coilover help

hey everyone, so I recently purchased Ksport coilovers from KDAY and got them installed already and adjusted to the height i wanted (i'll post pics soon) but one thing i don't know is how to adjust the stiffness of the ride in the back. I adjusted the front to full soft but the rear just bounces on every darn bump in these crappy California roads!

any help would make my life easier! thanks!

Either cut a hole to get to adjuster in the rear or you have to pull the strut out to adjust the damper...

Cut a hole in your panels from the back/trunk area to get access or just strip it all off. The rear struts take quite a bit of work to access from inside the car, lousy design... Some coil overs don't come with front and rear dampers, from what your saying yours might be one of them. In that case you can't adjust anything soo maybe try out a diff spring rate on the rear. What spring rate do you currently have in the rear?

Not really in the same price range though.

Even though I agree with you on quality....KW is on the pricey side.

Not necessarily... KW is far superior to your average coils but I got wicked deal recently on HSD's they have front and rear damper and I really like the ride quality, no complains from me. I bet I paid around what the O.P paid for his Ksports, it just takes some time in researching the brand before you purchase and install. That being said I will sell these in a year or so and get me some KW's, their just too good to resist.

Basically the higher the spring rate the more stiff the coilover will be. You can find your spring rate labeled on the coilover itself or online somewhere. From what ive found your spring rate is 9kg/7kg... but it would help knowing which exact model you have.

i have the Kontrol Pro, here is what I found on their website:

Upper Mount Front =ATM, Upper Mount Rear=ATM; Spring Rates Front =12/672, Spring Rates Rear=7.2/403

hope this helps you to be able to help me lol

Try adjusting the damper in the front to a softer setting and the rear there is nothing u can do, but it shouldn't be that bad. My coils are 13kg/11kg and its not that stiff
