That's more like it JC, nice drop. Elongating the toe slot is a bit of a PITA, I found that to be the toughest part of changing my springs and arms. I tried using the dremel cutting bit recommended in the DIY but found it MUCH easier using those thin dremel cut-off wafers since you can use the dremel perpendicular to the slot (allowing much easier access to the slot).
Always best to get the arms & toe kit since you have much more adjustment. Have fun w/ the toe slot modification

I DIY'd mine, about 2 hours to remove & replace front springs, install new camber arms.
About 30 minutes to remove & replace rear springs, but elongating the toe bolt slot added about 20 minutes per side (once you figure out best way to do it). I could probably do entire job in a couple hours now that I've done it before, but never using spring compressors and cutting that toe slot takes more time just getting the hang of it. Looking back it's pretty simple but a bit daunting initially IMO.

The toe bolt slot needs to be elongated to allow the new toe bolt it's larger range of adjustment, the new bolt has a larger concentric so it slides further in the slot.

You may be able to get your alignment in spec w/out the kits, be sure to go to an alignment shop that deals w/ lowered vehicles, seems like shops that just primarily deal in stock vehicles have a tough time w/ lowered rides.

 

If you do not want tire wear, then buy the camber kits. There is not enough factory adjustment for the amount of drop. Labor for the install, 2.5 hours $225. My buddy's shop did the install. This was for springs and camber kits. The dremmel is to elongate the rear toe bolt holes. The bolts supplied on the rear camber kit are larger thus giving more cam adjustment.

 

Looks great! Have you considered spacers? Because....man! Those are tucked in! It looks more tuck than in a coupe. I got rid of the look with 15mm spacers all around. I still have to install the camber kits to complete the look. I don't really like the negative camber look.

 

Looks good. Is your grill all black? If so where is it from?

 

I'm putting on the 19" coupe wheels this week. I also dont like the negative camber look. My grills stock, it's just the angle.

 

I have my 09 sedan lowered on Swift springs (similar drop to Eibach) and had both front and rear SPC kits installed also. Had the Mich SS tires installed on a set of coupe 19 inch wheels. The ride is quite a bit harder when driving on any roads less then smooth. I'll be putting the factory 18s on soon for winter and I'll judge how the ride is then. Sure looks good though with the drop and wheels.

 

Gimpy, I too have 19" Michelin Super Sports and 19" Sport Coupe Rims on my 2009 G37 SEDAN, rides worse than my stock 17's for sure, but looks way better, see above!

I am going to get Eibach's and I think a Canber kit JUST to be safe. Also, I am not sure if I need spacers? need to go look at my car. If you look at MY pic above it doesn't look near as tucked as this poster's ride does, YES, I noticed that too and never really understood spacers, BUT, I can see why people get them.

For aspacers do you just measure from outside of tire to how far you want them sticking out, or how far to make them flush?

 

Definitely to make them flush. Thats what i would want anyways...

 

If you are dropped on stock wheels, then you likely need spacers. Here's a set of instructions I found online. Make sure you get Hub-centric spacers so you don't get weird vibration and stuff, don't go cheap on these parts...

Just ordered mine WITH Camber Kits front and Rear!

I have 19" tires/rims, so I bet mine will fill up the gap a little more???

I am not sure if I will need spacers? I have 19" OEM Coupe Sport Rims and 19" Mich Super Sport Tires on my 2009 G37 Sedan

 

From what I've read and seen, you'll need spacers with those wheels to make it look better on a Sedan. Unless you're talking about the OEM Rays from the G35 coupe, which those will look nice without spacers.
