Terrible Sounding Brakes
I know the g is notorious for squealing brakes, I've already had that issue especially in the winter when its quite cold out, but on days like today (90+ degrees outside) it seems like something coming from the back wheel doesnt seem right. When driving at speeds excess of twenty miles per hour I don't hear anything funny, no vibration issues either. Once I begin to brake and come down below ~20mph it sounds like a terrible metal on metal squeal! I don't think its my brake pads since I've put less than 15k on the car and it doesnt make the sound when braking at higher speeds, its only when the wheels are spinning relatively pretty slow. Someone help me please! I tried everything, I checked for any nails or such in the tires, nothing there. All lugs are on tight so I don't think its that either. Went to stealership earlier to see what they had to say and they said it was my painted calipers so they couldn't do anything about it...! wtf?
Im pretty sure its not that since the other wheels/brakes seem fine and they were all painted the same way.. lol
anyone been through something similar or have any idea of what to check first? im desperate, it looks (well sounds) so bad when im pulling up to a stop sign or red light... SQUEAK.

Haven't changed the pads, or even taken them off. Really not sure how. Isn't 15k miles very low for worn out pads? I pretty much ruled that out since its fairly new
I had this problem on my non-sport brakes. After cleaning them, spraying the red non-squeak stuff and resurfacing the rotor the squeak would return after 10 miles or so. So, I finally changed the break pads even though they clearly didn't need to and wouldn't you know, no more squeak. I got the akebono proact pads.
The stock pads kinda suk. Mine are nearing end of life and I have a brake job scheduled to be done, but it seems the older the pads, the louder and more obnoxious the squeeling is.

so i guess it might actually be the pads.. now i feel dumb ruling them out of the question earlier lol. anyone recommend what brake pads to get for the non-sport brakes? im assuming if i go to the dealership they're going to try and sell me the same stock pads..

The popular brake pads here seems like the hawk pads. Do some little research by searching around the forums because I believe there was a write up a forum member did about each brake pad brands that he used.
