Brake squeel on reverse

Anyone find a solution to the brake squeal when first backing up?? ANNOYING!!!

lol....Sorry, even if you replace the shim's, it will eventually come back shortly after.

New brakes and rotors will fix the problem. Mine never does it after that haha.

Its only for a short bit, just tell your friends you have racing brakes on it because it is so fast. LOL

1.5 yrs with 17k miles and I don't have the reverse brake squeal on the 2010 G. However, it happens on the 08 M35 though.

Had the same issue from 5 - 20K.. got tired of it(dealership could not fix it) and fixed the problem. Currently at 60k and no Brake squeal in reverse for 40k.

Apply Following... on all 4 corners of the metal backing plate of the pad and in between the shims .... also a thin layer on top of the shim's where it makes contact with the piston.

And presto no NOISE.

Got my 08 2 weeks ago with 43k miles and it does that too, only in the mornings when I back out of the driveway, not all the time though,
weeeirddd
