Buying brake stuff

Hey guys so I have an 08 non sport. Friend of mine is selling his OEM Akebono front calipers from his sport. Question is what will I need to upgrade to these BKK. I've been told to get new rotors (stoptech? where can i buy them?) and SS brake lines? Is there anything else I would need to make this upgrade happen? Thanks for the advice and info.

Also my car is OB and I would like to powder coat them before installation. Any suggestions on color? I would like to stay clear of red because I've seen it too much. I sort of have a black theme going on, so maybe black calipers would work which silver lettering? This is a link to what my car looks like, excluding the blacked out headlights which were done this past week.

Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

is this legit? what's the difference between slotted/drilled and just drilled?

Are those the OEM 18s? If so, i don't think they will fit over the Akebono's. You'll need spacers at a minimum, and if those inner barrels don't clear, new wheels altogether.

If all your friend is selling are the bare calipers, then you'll need the pads, clips, pins, rotors and brake lines -- and brake fluid. Get the lines for the Akebono's and you won't have to worry about the banjo bolts as they are included in that kit.

One is slotted and drilled, the other is just drilled. Personally if you're looking for performance, get blanks or slotted at the most. Slotted/Drilled and/or Drilled is typically just for show.
