Alliance BBK rebuild kit

I just purchased a set of used 8/6 Alliance BBK's, that were not as advertised and want to rebuild them as the previous owner has taken the calipers (left pistons in) apart without a rebuild kit. I would like to see who would offer a caliper seal kit for them. I have left an email and facebook message for Blackline Motosrports with no response for a few days. Any other dealers carry Alliance?

Thanks!

oh yes! try:Phatboy brakes. as you can see these brakes are the same as the Alliance minus the brand. maybe they can get what you need.

Sorry to hear you're going thru this especially after paying for a high dollar item like this.

When I was selecting bbk before I almost wanted to get them Alliance also but as I was researching about it more there wasn't enough info on them and what's worse is they're not even track proven. Parts will def be hard to come by.

Good luck buddy!

Yea I did the same thing, but I was told they were mint (his pics looked great) with no issues as his car was not a DD and the brakes had less than 1000 miles on them. Got them for good street performance and eye candy!! After I received them I realized, man I should of just got the 2010 front end instead!!!
I'm sure it will all work out in the end with the brakes, with more $$ spent. After all said and done prob be close to what a brand new set costs.....

Thanks for your support!!

In response to your post in the FS thread.... I DID NOT take them apart and paint them, a friend/owner of a paint shop did so, and there were 0 leaks when I ran them for the week they were installed on my car. I told you I would meet you half way, same as the wheels, but you wanted them shipped. I told you I would cover it, and that was where the conversation ended. You showed me pictures of the box, which was TRASHED by UPS, which explains the rotors. YOU SAID YOURSELF that the calipers were packed well, up until this post where you are pulling a 180. I told you Friday I would work with you. Your first reaction was threatening me with paypal and a lawyer. Even after that I told you, I would work with you. It has been 2 days.... And you threaten me again this afternoon with multiple threats... "Ill C U AT ZDAYZ!!!!" "I hope we don't ever run into eachother again" Even after that I offer to put you in touch with the painter, which I told you warranties ALL of his work....but you said "I don't need help...." Then you call me a scum bag....yet i tell you my offer still stands.... You my friend can't face the truth that I have offered to help you get these fixed, you just want nothing to do with them. The calipers being seperated has nothing to do with anything, as you can see the lines run EXTERNALLY. the pistons were never removed. I have put every offer on the table to make this right, but you have avoided it. Here are the steps to report a damaged package. Nowhere does it say the package MUST BE INSURED to be properly handled. If they drop kick the box just because it doesn't have insurance doesn't make them any less respobsible for damage. Please handle this like a man, or take the bickering elsewhere. I have been nothing but helpful in offering a fix for this but at this point, as I have told you, my offers are dwindling, with the continued high school attitude, they will soon end. Thanks!

Pics day of install:

Pics day of shipping:

As you can see there was scarring from the backs of my wheels, which I sent you this pic right before I shipped, and you said ""Ok, look like the pads are already installed in the caliper ...totally stoked!!!" So obviously those marks were not an issue. You had me tell UPS to leave it behind the gate, You told me you needed them by Friday, I got them there. I packed them as best I could. I also told you, and you noted, I never removed the pads after removal, so to notice the paint chips inside the caliper would have been something I wouldn't have seen. Please take this up with UPS and if they can not help you I told you my painter will fix them... You told me you didn't need help, then you get on here asking for it. Like I said a seal kit would not be needed as the seals were never opened. The fluid runs through an external line from either side of the caliper, and the pistons themselves were never removed.

Now you do a 180, you NEVER mentioned willing to help with anything. You pushed it back on UPS.. When in our texts or conversations did you EVER say you would help out, fact is you didn't. But really who wraps stuff in saran wrap and does not take out insurance on a set of 3k brakes. Also again you never mentioned about meeting 1/2 half. Keep telling yourself you offered to help!!! Fact is you did not!!! I will handle this from here on out.

BTW: The pistons are painted, as your painter never taped them off, which he should of. I hope the paint does not tear the seals and cause a leak down the road.

My last text to you says I will get it to my painter....I've publicly said it. Where is the problem? I shipped them the same way I shipped my akebonos to Tim, he has had no complaints and left a positive rating. You are still avoiding facing the fact that I have offered help. I told you starting friday I would work with you after you threatened a lawyer and paypal then called back and told me "you win" since you paid paypal as a gift and had no recourse to follow up with. Even after all your bickering and threats I've offered help. If you want to make yourself happy then keep telling yourself im a scumbag and not offering help. Here it is for all to see. If you want them refinished send them back. I will have them fixed in whatever color you desire for cost of material, or back the same color for free. There is your offer. Deny it or accept it, I don't care.

You offered to help last night, you never mentioned anything in our original conversations Friday and Saturday. Since then I have already contacted someone local that can fix them, correctly. I would think you would at least offer to help, as you know the main issue was due to how they were packaged. Your text message telling me "to man up", the " damage inside of the caliper is not something you consider damage".
I need to take responsibility for myself?? I didn't pacakge them....you did.

I told you Friday on the phone we could work something out not text. Right after you found out paypal couldn't help you. I told you when you first asked about the brakes I didn't mind the drive after you made a joke about meeting half way again. The paint on the pistons is light overspray it will not affect the seals as brake fluid is a lot more corrosive than paint overspray.

Haha I love how you take bits and pieces from the conversation. I told you that yes. But that's after you started with the threats. And yes your right I don't consider a paint defect UNDER the brake pads "damage" as I told you the high school attitude and threats are ridiculous. You've been offered help, you've denied needing or wanting any so....yea. and the packaging has nothing to do with the box being smashed to hell. You keep forgetting to mention that part.

Guys if you want to clear this up please call each other up and have it resolved. Sounds like a big miscommunication to me rather than a scam

I received my full rebuild kit for my Alliance BBK, as the front calipers had slight leaks on all pistons, still performed good but wouldn't last. Did the rebuild this weekend, and it was pretty easy to do and the brakes feel great!!

If anyone needs any parts for their Alliance kits, just shoot me a PM for details.
