Brake light coming on when flooring it?

Never really floored it in first gear before but did twice today and the foot-brake light momentarily flashed both times. Anyone experience this before?

Mine does that sometimes too...I was actually about to post something about it.

I have an 08 G37S, when i punch from a dead start my hand brake light comes on and then almost always is followed by the "slip"/"VDC OFF" lights (which idk if its just mine....but is there anyway to turn VDC back on once you lose traction w/o restarting the car???)

Hope someone can answer this stuff for man GL!!

Your brake fluid is low.

well now I feel like a retard....lol Is that the only explanation for it to do that? Just curious, because i noticed mine was low a while back and refilled it....but I guess it could be that time again.

I'll have to get most of it checked out soon, got the car at 45k miles now going on 50k, and I sure as hell wouldn't be surprised if the previous owners didn't change the brake fluid or even the pads.

Thanks for the responses guys!

you sure it's the brake light and not your slip light?

Yes I'm positive, it was the red light in the bottom left that said brake.

Both of mine came on, refilled the brake fluid no more problems with the lights.

Yep, multiple threads on this. Simply add some brake fluid. Sometimes its pad wear, but more than likely a little brake fluid added does the trick. It did for me.

yep same problem my rear brakes were bad which caused more brake fluid to be used which makes the light come on.

Also note this is something that is typical in cars in general. It's not just a G thing.

I have the same issue with brake light on hard acceleration...1st gear 7k rpm its flashes when i switch to 2nd with WOT! R2C comes alive here I probably get 12mpg

Anyways...make sense...since my last oil change service consultant told me my rear pads are low about 5mm and said i should change it on next oil change.
