Common SPC Camber Kit Issue???

hey guys,

i just got my alignment done yesterday after my spc front and rear camber kits were installed. However, as i drove to work this morning and went over a bump on a bumpy road, i hear a bang!! i knew it was my right camber plate coming loose. so i get to work and checked to see if it was that and it was... wheel is on max negative camber since plate slid all the way in.

is this something i should worry about, the having issues with the kit coming loose??? this is pissing me off man!! gotta go back to the shop and get them to tighten it right back up!!! getting them to fix the alignment wont be an issue, just wondering if this is something that a few are going through????

Again, just got it installed and aligned for the first time...

Thanks,
German

Tighten it to 120 ft/lbs as the directions state and this shouldn't happen.

Reverse the ball joint as it mounts on the arm.
You should see "SPC" on the ball joint while looking at it from the outside.

The caster plate on the top should have the rounded edges to the outside also.

This is also the position that gets you closer to factory specs, the other way is to achieve extra negative camber, for the hellaflush kids.

The SPC on the ball joint is visible from the outside.
The rounded edges are towards the outside.
I have everything correct as u are stating.

Ball joint looks right, what about the caster plate?

FYI looks like the knuckle bolt to the balljoint was over torqued.

The nut and bolt that locks you steering knuckle to the upper ball joint.

The curve of the bolt is my first indication.

Oh, and those red washers you stuck on both sides of the control arm's bushings.
Those are shims to be installed on top of the bumper stop on the strut shaft in case you do hit the fender.
