BC Coilover height

Hey all,
I have a 2011 G37s that I just had BC coilover's put on. The front's are fine, however the rears are too low, and the installer is telling me that they are at maximum height. Measured from the ground up to the fender is 26.5 inches. (less than a finger between the tire and the fender). The whole reason I went with these was because the installer sold me on the fact that they could be raised if needed, (As opposed to springs) as there is a possibility that this car may move up north, and will need more clearance for snow. Like I said above, fronts are great, it's the backs that are the problem. The question is:

1) Can these be adjusted more, and the installer is incorrect?

I can't get pics now, as I am traveling, and the car is at the airport, but it's too low!

i doubt the installer is right..
ideally the back should be higher then the front for that aggressive stance

Thanks. Kind of what I thought. The shop seems lazy for whatever reason.

Read the manual and raise them yourself. Shouldn't be very hard and can be done with basic tools.

I paid the shop for the coilovers and install. They are far more qualified than me to make the adjustments! Today they said that coilovers can't get anywhere close to stock height. This after telling me 2 weeks ago that coilovers were the way to go for total height adjustment. I feel like I've been deceived. Not happy with the shop.

This is the first I've ever heard of this with BCs. Maybe they got you the wrong kit? You can always check with the manufacturer so you have eveidence when you talk to the shop.

The height sounds about right, it's roughly the same as what my sedan is set to atm. There's not a lot of max height adjustability with earlier BC BR rears. Definitely won't go to OEM height.

BC offers the option of a taller set-up but the spring rates also go up. Give BC a call to confirm.

Yeah I have a VERY early set and I had the perch maxed out and was still only around 27. I am at 26" now though.

remember you have to adjust the height through the perch not the actually strut for the rears....I went through a headache trying to figure this out....

Thank you! Much more helpful than somebody just saying to do it myself, when the original question was along the lines of, "does this sound right"!

If the shop you went to does not know that take your car away immediately and do not let them touch it ever again.

That's why I'm skeptical of buying coils for the G.

My previous car had coils from a reputable company (Buddy Club) and even at the max height setting the car was way too low. Rubbing the fender-well with tires.

Some of the companies also advertise stock height to 2" drop range, but man is that a lie, well the stock height anyway.

These companies design coils for racing applications and super low slammed cars. Not designed for daily vehicles.

For tuning just get the forks out that came with the coils and count the threads and measure with ruler.
