Improving Handling: Bars & Coilovers?

I've been driving the G37 for the past 4 months now and after considering some advise from people in this forum and others, i finally decided to mod the car (my first mod) to improve handling & High speed stability. You can look at my previous thread below:
https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...h-speed-2.html

I'm now deciding between the 4 options below:

a) Hotchkis Sway Bar set Only
Hotchkis Sway Bars Infiniti G37, Nissan 370Z

b) GT Spec Front Strut Bar AND 6 Point Rear Subframe set only
2008 + G37 | www.gtspec.com

c) Coilover only (Tein Super Sport OR Comfort Sport with EDFC)

d) Hotchkis OR GT Spec set WITH Coilover

Which option should i go for?

Depends on what you want. I always think the best advice would be the driver mod.
But if you want some suspension mods, I would think a good Coilover set like kw's and a set of sways should do you good. Hotchkis seems to be the one that is the stiffest and can be adjustable. Not sure how much the gt spec bars could help.

I don't think the Gt spec stuff makes much of a difference unless your tracking (escort the front strut bar, since we never had one it will be a good help)

I've got coilovers, hotchkis sways, GT Spec Front tower brace and 4 of the GT Spec underbracings.

The handling is AWESOME. it is not even the same car as before. If I were you I'd at least get the front tower brace, sway bars, and coil overs

^Exactly...

If you don't want to shell out a huge amount of cash at once, I noticed a huge difference just from adding Stillen sways to my Eibach spring set up..

I'm now riding on JIC coilovers, Stillen sways, GTspec fron strut and 4 point under brace... My car is hard as a rock!

Hmm..interesting. When you said you G37 solid as a rock...do you mean the car 'Feel' stable?? Thats what i get from my old G35S..Solid at highspeed but hard to steer when cornering...But i do like steering feel of the G35 though..the G37 steering feels too soft...

Car is way more stable now and less sloppy around corners... No more body roll, but a much harder stiffer ride... I think sway bars were a huge improvement just on their own... But the coilovers really made everything a lot stiffer.

I'd definitely go for the combo of coils and sways, it'll be a much more taught setup because of the sways and you can adjust your ride height and dampening based on which coils you use. You'll be able to choose the settings that are best for how you drive and what kind of response you want in the car.

After adding all the different suspension mods that I have, it feels like I am driving the entire car, whereas before, it kind of felt like I was just driving Thr front wheels and the rest of the car followed (if that makes any sense)

I have not done springs or coil-overs yet. However, of all the mods I have done so far (see my signature below), the biggest impact for the money was the Hotchkis Sport Suspension Kit (front & rear sway bars). Huge impact on handling because of the decrease in body roll. Keep your eyes open for a sale and do this first, if you have to take it slow because you are on a budget.

I strongly disagree. Have you driven a G with the GT Spec braces installed?

To the OP...

I was disappointed with the stock G37S suspension. I thought the Eibach Pro-Kit and some aftermarket sways would satisfy my desire for a stiffer, tighter ride. Although there was some improvement, I was far from completely satisfied. So, I decided to upgrade again... My current set-up is a set of Tein Flex Coilovers with EDFC, the Stillen front and rear sway bars, and the GT Spec braces. It is a night and day difference of not only the stock set-up, but of my previous Eibach/sways set-up. I have a thread on here somewhere detailing my suspension upgrades...

If you're only going to do one or two things, I strongly suggest the coilovers and the sway bars. The sways alone will easily provide you with the most drastic-feeling difference.

Good luck and have fun!

Hmm...ok..made up my mind...will go for the sway bars first and then the Coils...the GT Spec front strut bar being the last thing i'm gonna install...will post a mini review after each upgrade...Thanks everyone for the useful advice...

One last question though..just recently find out that Eibach also has a set of Sway bar for G37 too..

Eibach Springs - PRO-PLUS (PRO-KIT Springs & ANTI-ROLL-KIT Sway Bars)

They are adjustable like the Hotchkis and just midly less stiff. Which would be preferable to anyone that have tried both??

I would describe it exactly the same way.....i get that feeling when cornering..even at low speed....it feels 'floaty' at the rear....

I have upgraded to bigger (19inch to 20inch) and wider tires and it only accounts for minor improvements..hoping the next few modes will satisfy my expectation...
