Camber kit consensus
Camber kit consensus
I'm a relative nube on here, but I bought my '08 coupe from a forum member back in June 2010. It's lowered on KW v3 coilovers with a camber kit on the rear, but not in front. Currently has 20" Volk GT 30's.
The tires are getting eaten up on the inside edges. I'll be replacing them soon, but I want to get a camber kit for the front first so I'm not replacing tires every 10k miles. I like the lowered look, but it's a pleasure car, not a track car, so I want the tires wearing evenly.
What's the consensus on the best front camber kit? ( I don't know what brand it has on the rear).
Thanks,
Rick

There's only one option: SPC (or Eibach which is the same parts rebranded). Several forum vendors can hook you up with a great price, check the vendor suspension parts forum.
PS- love your sig!

Well that makes things pretty easy! (Thanks. One of my buddies won't stop saying that line....I'm going to kill him soon!
)
Tires have been flipped once, but I prefer to fix the problem. I'll be getting it aligned soon.
Thanks!

Flipping your tires side to side won't help. The inner edge is still the inner edge on the opposite side unless your tires aren't directional or asymnetrical and you can dismount them and flip them around on the opposite side. More effort than it's worth. And as you said, it's better to fix the problem than treat symptoms. I may very well be toe and not camber.
i got spc camber kit, i have neber done auto work before this car and did them in like an hour, i also did them without having to mess with the shock, if you need me to tell you how send me a pm, will save you some time (since you can skip taking off sway bar end link and undoing nuts in the engine bay). I got mine from kyle at importpartspro, hes a good guy give him a shout!
Ok, after doing a little digging, I found adjustable upper control arms from SPC and Stillen (TH Motorsports), and Kinetix (Import Parts Pro). Just from the pictures on their websites, I like the look of the Kinetix arms. The upper ball joint is adjustable via a heim joint.

How does the SPC arm allow the adjustment?
The Stillen arms are apparently a newly released item.

similar, you just move the whole ball forward and back for camber, then a variety of ways for caster! i like them, easy instal, look kinda cool if you ever take off the wheel
I bought the Kinetix arms (actually all of their suspension parts) and sent them straight back without even attempting to install them. They looked and felt very flimsy. Definitely not an area where you'd want to leave anything to chance on your car. Do a search over on driver and see what owners of the parts are saying about them, you may change your mind. Just my experience and opinion.
