Which to install first?

Hey everyone

I ordered my tanabe sustec pros and they should be in today. And i got my spc camber kits in already.

I was wondering should I install the coilovers first? then drive around for a week and then install the camber kit?

OR

Throw them both on at the same time and wait about a week to do an alignment or can I just install them both together and get an alignment the same day since they are coilovers?

Reason im asking is because some friends and I are planning to do the install at his house lol.

Install them at the same time to save yourself time and effort. Wait a few days up to a week for them to settle. Readjust your height because sometimes they will settle a bit unevenly. Get an alignment.

Antime you change height after getting aligned will throw your alignment off. If possible, go somewhere that sells a lifetime alignment. It's more expensive but worth it in the long run.

I as well did mine all at the same time.

you'll love your coils, I have the same setup.

One complaint is that the front suspension is soft.

I called Tanabe yesterday to see if the Sustec Pro 5 was going to be available for the 370/G37 and they said no development plans at this time.

Although you can probably find stiffer springs to replace them with. The damping is what it is though and can't be stiffened.

100% get it all at once. Why go through the hassle of taking the entire fronts apart to install the coilover..and not put the revised camber arm on? Would make absolute not sense.

I read up on the 5's yesterday. To bad no development yet.

But the ride is ultra smooth!

Does your Pro's feel soft up front too?

You just guesstimate on camber when installing. That's what alignment is for. A few days will be OK.

@LightsOut - yes, they are very comfortable but they could be a little stiffer. I'll only change to something else if it's an electronically controlled system. I drive too many long trips to be stiff all the time.
