Anyone here have experience with R1 Concept premium slotted/driller rotors?

Im looking into getting new rotors and pads, i cant stand the squeal anymore. Anyone tried these rotors or the posi quiet ceramic pads? They are going for a great price and im just looking for some input on them. Ive searched other forums and the general consensus is that they are great!

I know the owners at R1 Concepts. They use good quality OEM blank rotors from Centric Parts (WELCOME TO CENTRIC PARTS - Centric Parts) and they CNC machine the rotors by drilling and slotting them. Also, rotors with drilled holes function IMO as just a more aggressive appearance, and slots are more for performance. What makes you stop better, have less noise, and less brake dust is the type of brake pads you use. I would recommend ceramic compound if you are using your car as a daily driver.

I bought rotors and pads from them for my 350z a while back. they worked really well. I had a coupon in my email for 25% off that ended yesterday. see if they can extend the deal

Why not AP Racing through Stillen?

Even with new rotor's it may still squeak later imo.

Because a big brake kit will break my bank (ohhh shiiiiit)

Seriously though, i dont plan on tracking my car, just spirited driving and occasionally slapping a ricer. I dont think id use a big brake kit enough to justify it. So the next best thing would be some good rotors and pads!

Is this true? So its better to just get brake pads? instead of rotors?

Another option are the new J-HooksTM:

These give the performance benefit of cross-drilled rotors without the cracking concerns sometimes associated with drilling (although that is mostly due to poor quality blanks and/or poor drilling techniques). J-Hooks generate just a little more brake groan (low volume humming) when being used hard, but that's how you know they are working. Under normal braking there is no difference at all.
