Sport Brakes on AWD

Is it possible to put the sport brakes/rotors on the AWD model? Would this be allot more expensive (parts only) versus aftermarket parts.

I am wondering because the 2011 coupe will offer the XS model which I am assuming will not have the sport brakes since the sedan doesn't offer them.

Yes. If you choose to go parts only for the OEM Akebono brakes it is much cheaper than other aftermarket big brake kits. You can upgrade the OEM rotors to lighter ones as well and still be cheaper than aftermarket solutions.

I don't know if the '11 XS coupe will have the sport brakes, I'd guess that it will.

the 18" rims wont clear the BBK....so you would need to change your rims.

I dont think the 2011 models will get the BBK on AWD.......sedans never got them, so im assuming the same holds true.

Or calculate the space needed and add apropriate spacers to clear.

^^^^
yes on on "S" models, no on non sport. due to the oem wheel size.

But if wheel problem isn't a factor then the brakes will fit.

I haven't tested it but adding spacers to oem 17's can maybe fit the sport brakes.

Im just hoping the 2011 Coupe XS has 19" wheels so if it doesn't come with the sport brakes, the OEM ones will fit.

Even, even better: for a little bit more(~$50) you can upgrade to Stoptech rotors; CZP's site has a lot of other options for the Akebono big brake kit too

So with the sport brake kit, do the 18 inch wheels fit, or do you have to stick with 19 inch wheels?

I ask, because if the 2011 coupe XS gets the sport brakes, I still would like to use the 18 inch coupe wheels I own (for my 08 sedan) for winter time. Anybody??

At that point you may need some spacers
