Where do you guys go to install.....

Hi.

As the title says, where do you guys go to install springs (suspensions) or wheels?????

I live in Chicago, and all the auto shop that I went are asking me a huge amount of dinero................

Is that okay to go to any shop to install springs? such as... collision repair center?

Thanks !!!

Any shop worth their rates can do it for you. Although, almost always, tuner shops will charge you less.

Most "retail" shops and dealership/collision centers will charge you shop rates. If the book says it will take 6 hours, even if it only takes 2.5, they'll charge you for 6.

i hope you would not pay someone to install wheels, i don't care if you know don't know anything about cars you can do that yourself.

as for getting springs installed and mechanic can install them, its not that difficult and the longest it should take is like 1 1/2 to 2 hrs

stay away from chain stores as they will charge a lot and probably dont know what they are doing. There is probably a reputable tuner shop near you so I would look for them.

who do you want to do your work ..guys that work on modded cars for a living vs. some kid getting paid $10/hour and could care less about your car. also dont pay more than $200.
