Eibach Is Looking for 2009 AWD Sedan to Test Fit Springs

Title says it all. I called Eibach earlier today and was told that the reason they don't have a set of springs endorsed for the 09 AWD Sedan is because they haven't had a vehicle to do test fit on. I know there's got to be some AWD's in Cali! Help the rest of us out!!!

Anyone who has this car knows its is in serious need of a drop. It is really my only complaint with the exterior. But I'm not willing to buy a model of springs that's not officially designed for this car. I don't think its a good idea to experiment with the Non-AWD (or any other) springs they already offer until they officially endorse this. Getting a car over to them will get this done.

The rep said he'd chime in on this thread and set up a way to do this with an interested owner. Hopefully he'll check in soon.

I think in Cali people can actually find a RWDs no problem, so if they are anything like us (but with no snow) they proly all have RWDs.

I don't live in Cali but I would be more than willing to assist with this in anyway I can. I have a Coupe and a Sedan that are both AWD. Please contact me if I can assist. I would also be interested in coilovers also. Would love to drop both of my rides but want a product designed for the AWD.

Guys, lets get as much interest in this thread as possible. The rep will post with more information.

Don't forget, using springs designed for other cars most likely voids the springs' warranty. Might be a moot point for things like springs, but you never know. Why experiment, and without warranty, on a $35k+ car.

So if i used springs that were meant for a different car, and my air conditioner stopped working.. My warranty wouldn't cover that?

There should be a lot of incentive for Eibach here. If they can get this done, then they will be the only manufacturer with lowering springs specifically for the AWD Sedan. All the other manufacturers are all in the same boat currently- no one offers a set for us.

Can someone please spread the word on other G35/37 forums and point them to this thread?

Im in too. Why aren't their more manufacturers in cold weather states. You can't even find a rear wheel drive car here (if it's offered in AWD/4WD).

I would have my cars shipped to Cali if that would facilitate them making this product. WHAT EVER I can do to make this product a reality, I am all ears.

Do you mind shipping your sedan to Hotchkis for sways and hopefully another company for coilovers too ?
