springs and spacers
springs and spacers
so i am about to purchase lowering springs. please dont tell me to search because i already did. all the information was very helpful, but i do not know what i want. i know the eibach's are supposed to be the most comfortable ride, but i want to go lower. so thats where the h&r springs come in. my question, with h&r springs, will i need a camber kit. also, will i rub with h&r and 15mm spacers in teh rear? thanks in advance for any help

H&R's are quite low.. anything more than Eibachs and i would recommend a rear camber kit, at the least.
Look up the Tanabe coils..they were just released and they are very affordable. That way you can set the height to the exact spot you want.

I am on Eibach. Some need camber kits and some don't. If you want to get close to nominal setting on camber, you will need a kit. If you go lower with H&R or coilovers, you are almost certain to need a camber kit probably front and rear.
You are going to rub with 15mm spacers DEPENDING on where you set your camber and TIRE size. I am on Eibach with 15mm spacers with 245/275 s-Drives on 19" OEM. Front camber is -0.4, rear camber is -0.9. I rub on the left rear on the lining just a little and only when hit a large dip. There are several options to fix my particular rubbing issue, but ain't got around to it yet.
So bottom line is that some will tell you that you will not rub, some will say you will.....but there are several factors you have to consider to figure out if you are going to rub or not.

Are you planning on going with rims in the future?
Here is my car on 20's with H&R's. I love the slammed look and would never go with Eibach bc its pointless. I did rub but I cut the bumper brackets on both sides.

Here it is w/ stockies

I would not go more than 15mm spacers no matter what springs you get. Coils will really be your best bet because then you make the ride height whatever you want. But if has to be springs check out the Tein S Techs. I think those are more drop than Eibach but less than H&R.
i love those rims, looks really good. im not planning on buying rims, im actually trying to sell my 19'' zinik z24 risso rims i had on my accord.
about the drop, looks great... that made up my mind. the eibachs are not low enough for me. thanks for all the help
