Akebono Logo

I didnt find a thread anywhere. So if there is one, suck it.

I cannot powdercoat because I cant be without a car for a week. I am going the route of paint, apply decal, clear. A local shop is doing it all in one day for me.

I found a place online that sells the decal, almost any size. I got the 5"x1" for the front brakes.

You get a discount for multiple so people could order alot and resell them. With shipping it came out to 8.37 for 2 decals. Large quanity = large discount.
2 decals - 10%
3 to 5 decals - 20%
6 to 10 decals - 30%
11 to 30 decals - 40%
31 to 50 decals - 50%
51 to 75 decals - 55%
76 to 99 decals - 60%
100+ decals - 65%

They offer an insane number of colors (200+) to choose from, hopefully we will see some crazy brake combos.

interested in how the paint turns out. It is a PITA to send them out to PC and be without a car for a week or so.

Be sure to post some pictures as I do not recall anyone posting pics of painted calipers and several are in your same situation regarding down time.

Note - The 5x1 was slightly too long. You would have to make all the letters closer together to fit it. I went ahead and ordered some Black Metallic 4x.8 to replace them.

I am hopefully getting mine painted this week. I will post an update in my progress thread when it is done.

They do not sell any small enough for the rear calipers. Mine are simply painted red with no lettering. Only my fronts say Akebono.

You could try calling them to see if they can make any smaller, I didnt bother.

Whos, I have the files for the decals in the largest proportional size possible ready to be printed and cut. PM me.

I have a friend down here in So Cal that can make it for you for 10 bucks or less for the set of 4.
