I want to paint my paint calipers red

my buddy just painted his on his rsx without removing it, could I do the same?

If so, does some1 have a DIY? or pics of red brake calipers on a OB? I did a search and couldn't find any

i think powder coating would be a better idea...paint tends to fade over time and you'll have to repaint them

Powdercoat you are looking for about 400-500 for rims and calipers.

I did this on my old 350Z using the G2 brake caliper paint kit.

The special paint dries on like powder coating. You don't have to remove your calipers but tape everything up really well so you don't end up with paint where it doesn't belong. Then I put on a heat resistant "Nissan" vinyl sticker. You can find them on eBay.

do you guys not recommend me to just paint it by myself? sand / primer / paint / clear coat? I did it for my front grill and it turned out fine

Ive used the G2 before on my old G, but i wouldnt use a brush on style for these brakes since they are already painted, the brush would leave brush strokes and look shiity.

Use a high temp spray paint and you should be fine.

Im gonna be painting mine in a day or two aswell.

HamstersG just did red calipers on OB.

We also use the G2 paint system. I've used it a handful of times and it works great. Held up nicely thru the winter also. G2 Caliper Paint System
