The thing is I LOVE the way the car handles out the box from the Factory. It's very comfortable for long drives yet when you get on it around the corners it really stays balanced and neutral. That is an amazing calculation as it is. Infiniti/Nissan really did their HW. Ofcourse it can always gain here and there, but will i be sacrificing comfort? Now my goal with the springs is to just lower the car slightly giving it a more aggressive look. I'm just worried that by doing so with these springs (which have an appealing conservative drop) I will loose the neutral handling characteristics the car comes with from the factory...

Handling will improve somewhat because of the stiffer spring rate and the lower center of gravity. It won't be a Formula 1 car bit it will improve noticeably in turns. Trust me. You will sacrifice some ride comfort but not very much IMO. I have Tanabe which are only 5% stiffer so you don't sacrifice much. I just got the Eibach Pro Kit in today and I'll change the fronts this week to get a slightly lower front drop.

Installing the sway bars changes the neutral handling characteristics much more than the springs do IMO. I'm going to change the setting on my rear because turn in is amazing now with the stiffer front bar, but it's a bit looser with the stiffness I have in back.

i love the way my car handles with eibachs and stillen sways. at first it seemed a little "lighter" if that makes sense. however, once i got used to the progressive springs i take corners just as hard as when i had my g35.

What's the balance for you between neutral handling and comfort+appearance then?

If you want both (give and take here and there), I'd say Eibachs is perfect for you. But if you lean more towards handling and are willing to sacrifice comfort, then maybe coils. With Eibachs, I don't feel like I've sacrificed any comfort but only improved handling (so far only on random hard corners, nothing crazy) from the factory. There's always sways and bars you can add too.

How often will you be driving hard? I know it's tempting on those nice roads in Irvine but I've also heard about the cops over there, haha.

Well I drive hard on a daily basis. Nothing like flying through a nice empty on/off ramp in the middle of the night on my way home. Of course I keep it safe and away from innocent by standers/drivers. I do go to the Canyons here in Irvine maybe once or twice a month. When I first moved to Irvine I had 2 tickets in the first year. After being here for about 5-6 years now I've learned where and when to have a little fun..

Anyway, I think Eibach's will have to be my choice. Staying conservative is key for me in terms of looks and handling. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't going to make my handling worse than stock yet giving the aggressive look that I'm looking for. Ofcourse increase in handling is always a plus but not if I'm going to sacrifice comfort.
Back when I was in college I had my WRX. I had all the uncomfortable fun I could handle with that thing. With the G37S it's a different story. It's a more mature car, a more mature me, and also my daily driver. I don't want my brain falling out of my ears driving home after a stressfull day at work just because I want to tear up the track or the canyons every couple of months.

It sounds like the Eibach Pro Kit is exactly what you'd want. Have fun!

Buy the damn springs and try them out already! Call a dealership and get he part # for the springs on the G37 (non- X model) and the part number for the G37X. If they are the same then you know it will be fine. Even if they're not, they are probably pretty damn close to the same thing. Just do it already.

haha...Yeah it's easy for you to say but I'm not a risk taker...just my personality. I've gotta be 100% certain that it's been tested and guaranteed to be a good fit. By the way Mr. Black Betty...I'm ready to get me some of those grounding kits...I'm convinced to do it. What do you recommend...4 or 8 gauge? If you'd prefer, we can chat via PM.

I sell the 4 AWG about 7 or 8 to 1 over the 8 AWG.

Check part numbers and see if they are the same on the springs for X and RWD cars. Probably not, but worth a shot.

PM sent regarding grounding kit...as for the part #'s...that's a good idea at least to check part #'s to see if it matches...just checked out Eibach's website and if I read it correctly, the part #'s are different so you were right in guessing they would be. Guess I'll just have to wait it out another week or so

hahah...hilarious bro...it's just that when I spoke to one of the vendors that sell the Eibach's, he told me to hold off until he gives me the go ahead, but the hardest thing is being patient...glad to hear the drop is fine on your x...do you have a G35X?

Hmm, the more I think about it the more turned off I get in regards to these springs due to their progressive nature. Wouldn't that make for a more unpredictable car in terms of handling?
