When we did the install on Jedmonds car, we did all the labor of taking the struts out, but brought them with the new springs to PepBoys (in a different car, obviously). they charge 20 dollars per strut to swap springs.

total cost of the install, $40.

So they charged you $40 to decompress the springs, put the new ones on the assembly, and compress it? For all 4?

$20 per strut. the fronts are the only true struts. so $40 for (2) struts.

mind you, we drove to pepboys in my car, pulled jedmonds loose struts out of my trunk and the (2) eibach springs. handed it all to the guy at the counter and an hour later he gave them back. at which time we drove back to the car on stands and put the struts back on.

so yes $40.

his rears already had the tanabe springs installed, so we didn't even touch them.
