lol wish i would of kept the receipt for my bushings.

they're actually the correct size for g35 sways, though.. so i'll probably give them to my buddy

my chick said she can get 20% off stuff at her job, so i'll probably go ahead and get energy suspension bushings for the front and rear, just for the hell of it

I thought it might be a hot topic but haven't gotten any bits on a seperate thread, but would replacing the bar bushings without replacing the end-bushing actually make any difference? Originally I bought the Energys due to the mis-fitment issue of the rears, but with the upgraded rear that issue is no more. Since I have the whole set now (I exchanged the 22mm rear for 25mm's yestarday), will the bar bushing alone offer any improvement over using the OE?

OK! I got my Stillen sways for my G Sedan! I just had to buy it since they were on sale! and only $9 to ship to me in Hawaii! Now I read some stuff about Bad Customer Support etc.... But Since buying my G, and Buying stuff from Stillen, I have had nothing but Great customer service from my Salesman Kenny! Products ship fast and with great quality products! Now i read here that some guy's bars did not fit correctly, but I understand that had to do with the shpping the wrong bars to you guys. Now I installed mine myself yesterday. and everything lined up perfectly! Now Loose Bushings, or bad angles when installing the front Bar! Everything lined up perfectly just like the Factory bars. and the Ride has become Slightly Stiffer, just enoughf that you can tell, and it handles corners great! the car stays planted and Flat around turns!! A great $280 dollar mod thats garunteed to make a diffrence! Just wanted to give my thoughts on the Sways.

Stillen Sway Bars installed w/ Energy Bushings

I finally got my bars installed. I went ahead and used the Energy Bushings, however had the wrong size up front so only used the Energy in the rear and OE up front. I had a buddy that has a left in his garage so we did the whole install there.

It took about 2 hours, and that was only due to having difficulty with the rear. (I would love to hear from others who have installed the larger rear bar and whether or not they had issues with Stillens directiosn of only having to drop the two exhaust hangers). We had to drop the entire rear section of the exhaust by disconnection the muffler... was a smooth install other wise.

A couple notes.... If you have access to a left, use it!!! Make sure you have the correct tools. Tightening the end-links requires fairly accurate torqueing so a torque wrench is necessary.Dispite what I found on the web the front bars are not 32mm, they are more like 28mm or 27.5mm. So if you are buying Energy Bushings get the correct ones. Ride quality seems unchanged in a straight line, which is the way it should be. Does handle much flatter in the corners, although I have yet to really open her up.

A few pictures.

Hey guys,

In regards to the angle of the sway bar end links, you do not have anything to worry about. There is plenty of travel in the O.E. endlinks ball joint to allow for the suspension to work properly with no bind issues.

I am glad to see the good word starting to come out about these sways. We are very happy with the way they perform and we were confident that our customer's would be too. We were embarassed about the mix-up during assembly but fortunately that was found very quickly and did not affect very many people. The recall only affected 4 of our customer's. I assure you all that this mix-up will not happen again. We have put procedures in place to make sure of that.

Thanks!

Good to know about the bushings.... I used 22mm in rear but that was to small on the front. Interestingly enough The front was easy for me, it was the rear that was by beeyotch...lol

On another note.... I have taken a couple corners with these new bars... I am no expert, nor have I had this car on the track to do a before and after. (My only track experience was with a modified Miata and a Spec Miata race car a year or so ago).

As for my intial impressions, the rear end seems a bit easier to get to rotate. Good or bad, I could see the back-end sliding out on a really fast turn that one was excellerating out of. Without some track time I can't say whether the distance one might slide out would be minimum. But with my bar on the softest setting, my spacers and my 275 width tires. My rear seems looser. The front however seems really tight and handles anything I throw at it.

My issue may also be due to the fact I have less weight over my rear tires than this setup is designed for due to my spare and all trunk trim peices being out waiting on a stereo upgrade. That is nearly 30 lbs less than stock???

both bars were easy enough to get on..

it's just when I went back to replace the front bushing with the energy suspension bushing that i had problems. probably because my car is lowered now

and you used a 22mm bushing on the rear bar? you might have the wrong bar..

unless you just squeezed the crap out of it

actually I miss-spoke It was 25mm, which is 1". I had bought a 32mm for the front which was way off.... need to sell it and get another 25mm for the front. but i am in no hurry to take off that front cover again and left the car.
