This occurance for Akebono pads is quite normal. They are famous for low brake dust output, and the fact that what little dust will come off will be a ghostly light grey in color. No worries guys, Infiniti has just stepped their game up a notch.

I'm sticking with these pads at replacement time. Like everything else I have experienced so far on this machine, they are superb!! Kudos Infiniti!!

Agreed. When I first came into contact with these pads, I bought them from Tire Rack for my old crx. I was absolutely wowed by them, and always thought someone should use them as oem. If all things are still equal with the formulation Akebono uses, they should last quite a while also.
