Seat Belt pretensioner activates
Seat Belt pretensioner activates
Hi
I have 2009 G37S Convertible and both driver and passenger side seat belt pre tensioner seems to activate too early I think. The reason I would like to do something about it is that I want to take the car to autocross so I bet it will activate on every corner. I drove Mustang in autocross and it never activated so I am suspecting in my G37 something is wrong. The seat belts are little worn, they don't roll back easily, I think also adaptive cruise control does not work. I've read that there is some sort of accelerometer in pillars that could be fault but others said also that replacing brakes helped. I would even be fine to somehow disable it just when I do autocross as this does not trigger during normal driving. Obviously, disable just pre-tensioner, not lock-up or any other safety feature (don't really want to unplug all electronics from seatbelt)
Any recommendations? Anyone faced this?
