Hello. My window went down and won't go up, it's not an electrical issue. It's a big pop and a lot of clanky sounds and now it sounds like crunchy rocks when the motor tries to put the window up, and the window doesn't move.

It's very cold out and I have a 1 hour commute. I'm really hoping to make sure that I find the right part the first time. I was hoping someone could help me find the parts they think I need. Some friends at a body shop have already offered to help me put it in.

 

There are quite a few on eBay from around $60 and up- used. If you want new they run ≈$215.

I'm sure the body shop knows their stuff, but just a friendly reminder that the battery must be disconnected for at least 10 minutes before removing the door panel. This allows ample time for the capacitors in the SRS airbag system to fully discharge and prevent any accidental deployment of the door airbag.
