Came across these so I had ordered and put these projector lights on the doors yesterday, they just plug in and replace the stock units. The last photo shows more blue on the door panel because I also had my interior blue bulbs on when I took that photo.

This stuff has been around forever, and they're fun little mods that costs virtually nothing.

Be forewarned that they don't last forever. If you get a year out of them before they go bad, that's fair.

Well, I am keeping the old ones as backup of course but time will tell on how long they last, we shall see.😄

Interesting. I bought my car October 31st, 2019 and it's now March 21st 2021 and these (not same design but similar) are holding up well. Not sure how long they've actually been in the car.

Maybe there is chinese knockoff versions of these, mine seem legit though and well constructed.

I agree. If @Diode Dynamics sold these things, I'd probably buy them again.

Something I noticed last night. With the door open, the projectors cut off after a certain amount of time, perhaps to save life on the LEDs and not drain battery.

Much more likely so you don't burn the little plastic lens. LED is hugely efficient, but there's still heat.
