2011 G37xS Coupe Headlights are always on even when I turn them off, HID
So I drive a 2011 Infiniti G37xS Coupe, it’s a Canadian car, And it seems that my headlights are always on even when I switch it to off. The HID bulbs and the low beams are on at all times. Any ideas as to how to fix this? I’m wanting to get my headlights Custom with Halos and demon eyes but it wouldn’t show because the HID’s are always on. Headlights always on, fog lights can be turned off and on
Can you turn the dog lights off on the stock? Is the light on the dash illuminated?
I can turn on and off the stock for the fogs, and it does illuminate the dash and centre console. Other then that nothing exterior turns off. Even my tail lights are always on.

There is nothing to fix. Nothing is wrong, or broken. In fact, you answered your own question when you said:

Canadian-spec cars are mandated by law to have "Daytime Running Lamps (DRL's)." With this system, if the engine is running the lights are on.
There are ways to disable this system. You will have to research that topic and any legal ramifications doing so may have on your own.
Aha. Totally missed that. However Canadian G’s (2010 coupe for reference, unsure about other years) use the city light in the part of the housing heading towards the grill. In this case the coupe I have has no lower dog lights, however with the car running the fog light indicator turns on in the dash as these lights are also “fog lights”. I’m not sure how this differs with G’s with the fog lights
From my reading, 2010+ models added two (2) different indicator lights on the gauge cluster as follows (taken from 2010 Coupe Canada Owners Manual):
Thankfully I do not have this damn DRL crap (plus mine is a 2008).
