I was hit-and-run and got scraped on my bumper. I been to a few places for an estimate and gotten around 600-800 for sanding, clear coating, and repainting.

Are those fair prices?

 

Had the same thing happen to me... my guy said he can paint and blend into the midsection of the bumper for 300. Full bumper repaint for 400.

mine, like yours, also has a crack that he will seal with the heat staple method. Brooklyn, ny.

im not looking for show car quality paint work, but for 800, i will expect pretty damn good paint job or top of the line materials.

edit: also, i dont trust body shops to remove my bumper bc those plastic brackets will break with only a little bit of force, so im removing it myself

 

I would just go buy some formula 1 scratch remover, make that bumper look a whole lot better than what it is now. If you do get it repainted make sure its a well know company last thing you want is your paint not matching to the rest of the car, which will make it look worse than what it actually is right now.

 

To do it right bumper will have to be stripped, reprinted and painted along with blending into the fender to make it look right min 1k. Use insurance if you have collision coverage then they'll replace bumper with new onr
