Bumper repair

Hey guys,
I don't usually go on here so id like to say hi to everyone before I start.
I have this little problem. Recently, I found out my bumper was cracked and I was wondering whats the best DIY way to fix it. I believe it was when I drove my car to Georgia for Import Alliance. I was at my friends and my bumper got hooked on his driveway and it busted my lip up too. But thats a different story. its not a huge crack but I was wondering whats the best way to fix it cause it is located in a place that causes a lot of stress on the bumper. its creasing the bumper slightly I think and chipping my paint. its not noticeable until you try to fold it back in place. also, How should I have my fender tabs so it causes the least amount of stress on it. I was hoping I could just use an epoxy or something. I really don't wanna have to use a plastic iron on welder nor do I have much experience with those.. Can you guys shed some light on this for me? This wouldn't make me mad so much if my car wasn't 1 inch from the ground and always scraping.. Please don't tell me to raise my car up cause thats not gonna happen.

I wouldn't do a DIY repair on a cracked bumper like that, unless you're professional.

Best that you should take it to a body shop. Since it is cracked on the edge and spread towards the front, it probably can't be repaired and the bumper would have to be replaced.

It looks like you have a crack and a crease. The crease is what makes it almost impossible to repair.

I really did a number on my front bumper. I hit some lumber and it put 2 sharp creases in the bumper.
The body shop I took it to used heat to reshape the bumper and remove the creases. It only cost $250 to repair and repaint the front bumper.
I was surprised at how fast they removed the bumper.
I did the damage myself and have a high deductible so I paid for it myself.
I was glad it was so reasonable.

Those photos also indicate the mounting hardware underneath the bumper was damaged. Beyond fixing that small crack, you'll need to pull the bumper to inspect the mounting points and replace the broken hardware.

As what mathnerd88 and movinon said, this is not a DIY unless you have experience in fixing this. You will end up damaging it more.

My experience:
Some ahole wasn't looking and pulled out of his spot (not slowly but gassed it) and clipped the front right of my bumper, which created a couple of deep gashes, a hole, and a dent. The shop that I took it to was able to reshape it, bonded a patch under the hole, filled the hole and gashes, and painted for $300.
