Is the cigarette port in the arm rest suppose to have a slant inside it?
This is for my 2012 G37xS Coupe:
I have a usb port to cigarette lighter port adapter piece for charging my cell phone. It fits fine in the ash tray cigarette lighter port. However, when I tried to place it in the cigarette port in the arm rest it won't go all the way in. I turned off the car and placed my finger inside it and felt a metal piece that is slanted which prevents anything from fully going inside. Is that the way the arm rest port is made?
From that way it feels I can't see any type of object fitting in the arm rest cigarette port since nothing would be able to make contact at the end with this slant inside it. Not sure if it's suppose to be this way (for the G37) or it means something is different with the one in my specific car.

Wow, so I finally was able to get a small led light and jam a small pair of pliers inside it and it was a damn penny stuck inside it from the previous owner
I'm not sure how to delete this post but it's solved now....
