Arm rest trim piece

Does anyone know how to remove the chrome wrapped piece? Do you have to unwrap the entire arm rest? Thanks!

There's several screws to remove the bottom cover from the armrest, then 3 more to remove the trim.

Here's a pic from when I was eliminating squeaks in the armrest.
