I don't think I'm using the correct terminology, but I'm looking to replace the the aluminum trim piece around the shift boot (the piece that has the shift pattern etched in).
I had my clutch, slave, and master replaced today and the shop scratched up this trim piece something fierce:
I wish shops were more careful when removing these pieces. Seems like every time I get my car back, I find a new interior scratch.
Few questions:
Where can I buy this trim piece?
How do I remove this trim piece? The shift boot DIY threads I've seen always skip this step, but I want to make sure I'm not going to snap off any clips holding it in.
BONUS: What are some good brands for shift ***** around the $100 mark?
When searching the ebay, do you know what term I should use to find this piece? I've tried a few different terms and still couldn't find anything.
Edit: I think 'bezel' is the word I'm looking for. Still having issues finding just that piece though. Seems like they want to include that whole ashtray piece with it.

"Try shift boot" and "console" and "armrest" and "Ashtray" "shifter trim" the prices for the pieces with the ashtry are probably gonna be as good as it gets .If you're paitent something with just the trim ring may come up but the price will probably be about the same...that was my experince in shopping for the same piece for an auto...
