Headlight Bulb Off Occasionally

08 g37x.Passenger side headlight goes yellow, goes out, and then when I cycle the ON/OFF switch it comes back on fill strength at the correct color. Happens sometimes over bumps and is very inconsistent. IT happens maybe once a week, or every 2. I don’t think it’s a bulb (Osram installed in 2015); loose connection or ballast. BTW these lights kinda suck! Either they need more wattage (45 or 50 watt ballast) or aftermarket projectors that are clear.. thanks!

Most likely the ballast?

Ten year old vehicles tend to develop problems as parts begin to fail

Had same issue on my 09 g37x. Got aftermarket projectors. Just replaced ballast and problem solved

thanks All!! yeah i think ballast. Car is almost 10 yrs. but runs great and all electrics etc. function. Car is garaged every day and that makes a BIG difference!
Aftermarket projectors; where, how much, and who put them in. I would love to run 50 watt HID ballasts (aftermarket), (i have them in my Charger w/o projectors and they are night and day brighter then OEM), but it looks like a real pain on these cars as you need an extra wiring harness which disables the load leveling etc. These cars would be so much brighter with stock bulbs and better (clear) projectors!

Mine are from oneeighty. I got the iron man LEDs as well. Don't know the price however as the person I bought the car from already had them previously installed
