Dirty instrument cluster screen, help?

Hey guys, I bought a G37 recently and everything is in excellent condition, except my instrument cluster screen, which has white spots that I have tried to remove with a few products, but nothing... When I apply any wet product, the spots get dark and it looks better, but when it dries up it comes back. have any of you ever experienced anything like this? Any suggestions?

It happened my my old acura rl. What i think happens is the car sat for a long while and condensation built up and when it dried it left it spotty.

Or someone used a harsh cleaner.
You may have to replace that piece with a used unit.

Looks like someone sprayed something either to clean/polish/armor-all the interior and overshot it onto the cover. Same thing happened to me. It will not come clear. I ended up buying a new cluster cover and called it a day.

p/n: 24813-JK00A, Cover-Front, Combination Meter

$42.32 as of 3/31/2017 at parts.infinitiusa.com or $27.51 at discoutinfinitiparts.com

I wonder if a plastics polish will take this off. I'm thinking of something like NOVUS.

I was gonna buy PlastX but wasn't sure if it was worth the try or if I should just replace it

The whole project took me about one (1) hour. Removing the gauge cluster is tricky but doable. The front cover is retained to the cluster by a few plastic tabs. It literally pops right off.

On my old g35 i had water spots on my cluster also. I removed the cluster and used normal car polish and wax on it. the spots came out but took a while cause you have to do it by hand. mine only looked like water spots and not solid dots like yours.
if you have polish already it couldn't hurt to try before you spend the 40 dollars to get a new one.

I had the same issue when I bought mine, the cluster was smudged, and there were spots that the dealer tried to clean, and were slightly scratched. My fix (seriously), I took a paper towel and put a little bit of olive oil, then cleaned the cluster with it. Not enough to drip, but just enough to lubricate. I had the car for almost a year, and the cluster looks clean, you can see some spots faint, but definitely much better. Worth a try, and will save you$$

Care to elaborate a bit more on how to remove the cluster? Maybe some pictures would be nice.

I was a little skeptical about this, but I tried it and it got rid of most of it, if not all! Thank you bro!
