Rear tail light conversion
For those of you who bought the kit to change the look of the led on the tail light, I want to know if you're having the same problem as I am right now where the box.
Some of the issues
1- light works fine but couple month after it began to
hyper flash
2- led on the right side is dimmer then the left side
3- the box is melting.
4- some of the wires inside may be melting due to the heat or lack of air circulation.
I forgot who I bought it from but please let him know.

Yes it is but the one I have is for the sedan, I just checked their site and they have the plug and play kit, the one I have is mostly wires in the box. I may buy the kit from them but I may have to put all the wires the way they came and then isntall the kit FML lmao.

That is actually a kit from A forum member here who first came up with the idea and fashioned his own kit. I had the same issues you had and had to just remove it and toss it out and bought the new one from Diode Dynamics which is a much easier install as it is plug and play. There is no need for splicing wires and no need for any resistors to prevent hyper flashing.

So I finally remove the box and install the kit from DD and I dont know about you guys but when I was a kid my passion was to take stuff apart, so I took box apart to look inside. I realize there was only one resistor working for both left and right tail light. I think that's why it began to hyper flash and the box was melting due to the heat generating inside the box. He should of put 2 resistor and made some whole in the box to let some air cool the resistor inside when it got hot.
If I remember correctly he was the first one to make one for the sedan.
