seat bubble issue - common or not..only 37km new
seat bubble issue - common or not..only 37km new
Hi,
Long story short, I have a 2009 Coupe and just put on new OEM seat
Just got the car back on Monday Sep19, and had driven it under 60km to date, literally sat on the seat for less then an hour
Attached please see the driver side seat and the passenger side seat
(picture were taken when the seat had 37km on it)
Do you guys think the creasing is a bit too much?
Bought it to the dealer they said the bodyship may be able to do a bit conditioning to it but say G37 comes with bucket seat and this is common.
I mean I get the bubble issue is a common problem on this gen (a few got lucky didn't have the issue) but some on...$950 CND for each seat and after 37 km...
Am i setting my expecting too high (i never own a brand new car before so I have no experience how new leather holds up) or its something i can do about it?
thanks

Leather stretches. I only weigh 155 and even my seat has dimples.
If you want to save the seat for the next owner of your car, use a seat cushion. Otherwise, recondition the seat every now and then using leatherique.

Yep, same here (same weight, even). Only 22k miles on my car, and the seats are regularly cleaned/maintained using Leather Masters products. No way around it, I guess.
